FTC and ASA disclosure statement
The price you pay as a visitor is not affected by whether you use an affiliate link or navigate to a third-party site directly — unless that third party specifically offers a discount, bonus, or promotion associated with a referral link, in which case that will be clearly indicated.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that identifies GenToolLab as the referring source when a visitor clicks through to a third-party website. If the visitor then completes a qualifying action on that third-party site — typically a purchase, subscription, or account registration — the affiliate programme credits GenToolLab with a commission, which is paid by the merchant, not the visitor.
Affiliate links look and function the same as regular links. In most cases they direct you to the same product or service page you would reach through an organic search. The only difference is the tracking parameter embedded in the URL, which is invisible to the user.
Affiliate programmes we participate in
GenToolLab participates in, or may in the future participate in, affiliate programmes including but not limited to:
- Amazon Associates — affiliate programme of Amazon.com and its international equivalents
- Commission Junction (CJ) — multi-brand affiliate network
- ShareASale — affiliate network with finance, health, and software brands
- Impact — affiliate and partnership platform
- Awin — international affiliate network (EU/UK coverage)
- Individual brand programmes — direct affiliate programmes run by software, finance, or health product companies
This list is not exhaustive and may change over time as the site grows. This disclosure applies to all affiliate relationships, whether or not the specific programme is named on this page.
Where affiliate links may appear
Affiliate relationships on GenToolLab may appear in the following contexts:
- Tool pages that mention or recommend a relevant product, service, or app
- Guide pages that reference useful tools alongside educational content
- Dedicated resource or recommended tools pages
- Comparison articles or roundup content
- Call-to-action buttons, banners, or promotional sections
- Email newsletters or product update communications, if introduced in future
Where a specific page contains a significant number of affiliate links, a short disclosure notice will be placed prominently on that page in addition to this sitewide disclosure.
Editorial independence
GenToolLab recommends products and services based on relevance to the page topic and likely usefulness to readers. However, we acknowledge that the existence of an affiliate relationship can influence which products are featured on a page or prioritised in a recommendation. We aim to disclose this honestly.
You should always independently evaluate whether any product or service is appropriate for your own situation — especially for finance, health, software, or legal decisions — regardless of whether a recommendation appears on this site.
Advertising
In addition to affiliate links, GenToolLab displays advertising through Google AdSense and may in the future display advertising from other networks or platforms. Ads are served automatically based on page content and visitor context — GenToolLab does not select individual advertisers for most ad placements.
GenToolLab may also publish sponsored content or featured placements in the future. When this occurs, such content will be clearly labelled as sponsored or promotional so it is distinguishable from editorial content.
No guarantee or endorsement
References to third-party products or services on GenToolLab do not constitute a guarantee of quality, performance, results, pricing, or long-term availability. Product terms, pricing, features, and support may change without notice. You should always verify details directly with the provider before purchasing or subscribing.
Affiliate links and product mentions on this site are not personal endorsements and should not be treated as such. GenToolLab makes no representation that any linked product is the best option for any particular user.
Affiliate tracking and your privacy
When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network may set a tracking cookie in your browser to attribute any resulting sale to GenToolLab. This tracking is handled entirely by the affiliate network or merchant — not by GenToolLab directly.
For full details on how data is handled on this site, including information about advertising cookies, analytics, and your rights under GDPR and other applicable privacy laws, please read our Privacy Policy.
